Dining With Friends

After our walk through the town, we all took a bit of a nap, then set off for dinner.

Plans had been made from the day before, so we went out with our friends to a smashing Italian restaurant, to meet another couple that Derek and I knew from their many previous visits to Barbados. We had not seen them for several years but time had been kind, and they were largely unchanged, both in appearance and in personality.

They'd brought along another couple who we were introduced to, and all eight of us enjoyed a very fine meal, and plenty of wine for those who partake.  It was a great meal, and it was so nice to share the experience with four old friends, as well as two, new friends with whom we got on so well.

Pasta twice in one day, at two separate Italian restaurants.  That is indulgence!

We took our time over the meal, and enjoyed the company as much as the food, but eventually, it was time to part ways.  Our hosts took us back to their home, and there was coffee and a little more wine, and loads of reminiscing, but eventually, it was time for bed, and that's where I'm, going now!
