North, South, East... No West!

Departing from Ardleigh, we knew that we'd seen most of the country with the exception of East Anglia.  And so, we set off for...

Lowestoft, the Easternmost point in mainland Britain.  We've already seen the Northernmost (Dunnet Head) and the Southernmost (Lizard Point) and now the easternmost.  Alas, when in Scotland, we missed our chance of seeing the Westernmost point, because we were stupid!

The Euroscope which adorns the coast

lists several places around it's circumference that we've visited

Like the previously mentioned John O' Groats and Dunnet Head

as well as Lizard Point.  Lowestoft's easternmost point is an unusual sort of place, with large office complexes built right on the sea, with an even larger wind turbine towering over it.

These turbines atre huge, and they are all over the country!  You will probably find them in the background of every photo we've taken!

Travelling north through Great Yarmouth and on around the north coast of Norfolk, where we turned west along the coast

Plenty of lovely countryside, dotted with these mills.

Until finally we hit The Wash, where thousands of parked cars greeted us, so we turned south to our BnB, near Old Warden Aerodrome.

We dined at the Yorkshire Grey, a busy pub that served exotic burgers such as the Grilled Chicken & Dirty Rice burger (but I didn't try that one!).

Then it was on to out BnB where we were greeted by our hosts, Walter

and Boo.

I think we're fine for the night here!
